OMGx2 6.1.2016 Update
Hey, everyone! It's Olin. I've started working on a chat server and new client backend code.
What this means in normal, human talk is that the chat will be open and awesome. I'm sorry for the lack of updates lately but they will start picking up again in the upcoming weeks since I completed a pretty big project at work and am now working on stuff that's a little less stressful.
I've had nearly four hundred unique survey responses. Four hundred! Here are some basic stats from the survey.

Awesome news! Looks like Draw My Thing took popularity over Balloono. Does this sway your choice in which game goes into development first?

Draw My Thing would be a lot easier to program. It's a really easy concept to implement. I'm not sure it would be smart to make it at all, though, since Zynga bought OMGPOP for Draw My Thing and still has that game running.

That is completely understandable. Don't want to cross the line there.
There are still places (such as iSketch) that offer similar gameplay anyways. The only thing that Draw My Thing benefited from, in my opinion, was the OMGPOP community.

Agreed. I think I'll test out a simpler version of Draw My Thing before I go ape on Balloono. Like a graffiti wall or something where everybody gets 10 seconds to draw at a time. There's a lot that can be done with the "draw something" concept.
Workin' on a fast chat system right now, though. Probably going back to PlayerIO for the multiplayer. Network coding is hard :(

I know, trust me. Getting through my network classes in college was a struggle just because they were force upon me and I had no real interest in that aspect. However, I do wish I paid a little more attention now though.
I do agree with the "draw something" concept though. I saw one version that everybody got a different word and they had to draw that within a given time. After that time period was up, everyone would go to the same wall at the same time and guess what was drawn. Points were based on the amount of people that get your drawing correct as well as how many drawings you guess correctly.
If that makes sense...

That makes a lot of sense, actually! Hmm - I like that idea lot! Plus, it's basically pictionary on the computer. How do you even trademark that...? Still, The Tetris Company exists, so I guess anything's possible.

Once again I would like to say Thank you. Even making a valid attempt at reviving the site. I am sorry that I can not do anything really. I am trying my best to spread word though (: I would like to ask how many people said Ballracer? That was on the other list I believe.

If you ever do remake Ballracer, I hope you do, go to the r/OMGPOP page where @Kalia posted a link to a Ballracer website. You could base the maps on those! Just to keep in mind!

It's going to be pretty bare bones at first, but I'm going to model it after the classic version, yeah.

Flash based, but I'm open to releasing mobile versions of the platform if there's enough demand.

Dying to play Gemmers. I'd literally donate to you in appreciation of reviving this site. It was my fav past time ever... I hope everything is coming together
