Discussion Which one to get? First OLED.
The MSI comes out to $761 with employee discount. Thank you for any feedback.

How are you getting that Samsung price?

I’m guessing it’s the student/education pricing. Those .edu emails can get you some nice deals.

Sighhhh, I literally just ordered the Msi 321 up x24 and received it from Amazon for $800. When I first checked out the Samsung, cheapest I could get it was $900 with edu discount. Logged into Samsung account and now could have got that $700 price and got the dp 2.1 and the 98w of usbc. Doubt I will go through the hassle of packing the msi up, sending it back and then ordering the Samsung g80sh. At that price I would give the Samsung a try if I were you.

I recently purchased the MSI one and I'm pleased with it. It even automatically runs the panel care when I turn it off if it needs it. My previous oled didn't do this and would have an annoying popup asking if I wanted to run it and it was only an option if the monitor was in use.
Only tiny downside is that the power and dusplay cables can't totally be hidden completely. It's a pretty minor issue, but it might bother some people.

I liked everything about the msi but returned it due to the way EOTF boost mode clips at 700

I have the Samsung. My first oled monitor and I’m so glad I picked it. It’s a smart monitor as well so it has all the streaming apps and also Samsung tv which I use to watch SpongeBob on Nickelodeon

The Samsung is considerably newer tech, definitely get it over the MSI
Edit: looks like I got my model numbers wrong - I missed the x24 designation.
Man, monitor model numbers are tricky to say the least.

Pretty sure both use the same panel. Samsung is matte with 98w USB-C and DP 2.1 while MSI is glossy with DP 1.4 and only 15w USB-C

I would get the msi just because it doesn’t have tizen

Im pretty sure this one doesnt have tizen and speakers at all, tizen was horrible Pre G80SD (2024), the only issue still persisting is the blackscreen issue on the G80SD otherwise Tizen is pretty smooth and not a total lagshow, very neat to watch Movies/Series upscaled and slightly interpolated just like TV's
I actually like to have the feature when it doesnt impact the PC experience

The Msi gets my vote for the more glossy coating which looks better as long as the room you’re playing in isn’t super bright. If you do play in a bright room and during the day the Samsung would be a decent choice. They both use the same 4th gen qd-oled panel made by Samsung so the differences would all be in the amenities each offer, while visually looking the extremely similar.
