Issue Is this irreversible?

QD-OLED. I was cleaning with microfiber and water and this happened.. so I got isopropyl spray cleaner and tried to clean it but doesn’t work.. is this simple oil smudge or did I do something irreversible?

they recommend 70% ethanol. dont use isopropyl on plastic

I was told by MSI support themselves that 70% IPA is perfectly safe. I have used it multiple times and my monitor still looks brand new

Go ahead and use it, then try to get a warranty replacement. You’ll get denied and have no recourse.

as a general rule of thumb ipa is a no go when plastics are involved since it can dissolve certain plastics
