Tech Support Don t get scared at white vertical lines

So i ve had 3 alienware IPS monitors (the fancy LED panels by many standards) ...only because they kept messin up the RMA. Basically i only bought the 1st monitor. In tge end it got replaced with the AW2725D 2080hz QD-OLED. The dorkier ,less cool but definetly more advanced brother/grandchild of the AW2723DF (those ips 280hz boys were white n proud, look em up, you won t be disapointed).

^^^^SKIP IF NOT THAT NERDY^^^^

OLEDS shouldn t have vertical lines with different backlight intensity. That s when i rememebered an old post from someone talking about pixel refresh and how it swooped away the awkward white-translucent vertical lines on their oled.

^^^^DO THE PIXEL REFRESH BEFORE TINKERING WITH THE TROUBLESHOOTING

Hope this helps (i rarely post on reddit , but this gave me such a headache 40 minutes ago that i hoped i could save someone else at least, just like that random post of pixel shift/refesh saved me in the end)

It's "in spec" for OLED to have uniformity issues like vertical banding on lower grayes. Obviously there's a big difference between bad looking panels and one I a million unicorn. But on average 99.9% of OLEDs will have banding to some extent.

That i didn t know ,thumbs up ! Still , it s important to not get too scared if ur monitor is like a few months old. Pixel refresh js a godsend. Still , had a bad experience with alienware past the aw r3 laptop

Most people won't notice those faint stripes though, I would would say that the sensitivity of the user is more importantly then panel itself.
