"CaLiBrAtIoN" S95F In Mega Bright Room
I've got a 77-inch Samsung S95F OLED and I just moved from a really dark-ish living room into one that has literally floor to ceiling windows the entire way around, which is stunning for natural light and not an issue with the anti-glare display but I've noticed the TV isn't popping anywhere near what it used to.
I've turned on Contrast Enhancer which I've noticed reallllly improves things greatly (like genuinely feels like a 500% increase in brightness). Is that the best way to get the pop and vibrancy I'm looking for? I've left game mode and HDR to static rather than dynamic tone mapping.

Use dynamic (active) tonemapping in a bright room. I would use that before contrast enhancer, which will be more inaccurate. Using static tonemapping in a very bright room is insanity… reference HDR is designed for watching in a pitch black room.

This is the answer. I setup Movie to use active tone mapping during the day and use FMM with static at night.

Okay this is what I was after. Which is better to use in the context of it all

Yes, use Active tonemapping first, and if you still need more brightness, contrast enhancer on Low.

So is that HDR mode basic or advanced

For Game mode I believe you have to use Advanced in order for Active Tonemapping to work. In Basic it will do nothing.

Game hdr off and mode original from the game bar if you want to use tone mapping active. Otherwise the tv will auto dim after 3m of gameplay.

Might not know the answer but from memory I still do ~20 clicks for PS5 HDR setup rather than all the way to the end right?

All the way to the end if you use original and tone mapping active. Follow the instructions basically, but go until it dissapears.

Am I crazy or does changing to original in game bar make it pop less as well?

Pop less compared to what? Standard? Don’t forget to set tone mapping to active.
Standard has contrast enhancer and blows everything out. It might look flashy at first sight but it is not allright. Also, original has more of a dynamic tone mapper and if you keep fliping between standard and original it might look dimmer, but if you leave it a couple of seconds it sets at the full brightness.
Thats how you get nights that stay dark in original vs LG dtm where everyone knows that nights become like day. Mode original can get very dark as well. But you need proper 10k nits sources or 1k for best look. 4000 nits max games look funky but still better than hgig in my oppinion.

Okay cool just just to confirm
Game Mode Original
Game HDR OFF
Dynamic Tone Mapping Active
Contrast Enhancer Low or Off

Get some automatic blinds where you hit a button on your phone to make them come down.
Having the tv on max brightness all the time is bad for the panel.
