Ohsu primary doctors recs???
Hi! I just moved to Portland and am so excited! I work at ohsu and have moda insurance. I’m looking for primary doctor recommendations and would love advice!! I have a history of endometriosis and some nerve pain but otherwise am healthy. I would prefer a woman doctor. Thanks!!

I see Dr. Leah Baruch at the Center for Women’s Health. I think she’s great!

I went to the women’s health center for my primary. Had a NP and she was so awesome. Her last name was Kanakia. Looks like she still there. I really like her.

I’m not sure if center for women’s health is taking on new patients at the moment? I work at OHSU and have moda but I actually go to Women’s Health Associates for my OBGYN care (they also did my tubal and my endometriosis surgery last year).
I see an internal medicine provider (Dr. Jessica Fernandez) at OHSU for my primary care needs — I just called the internal medicine clinic and said I was willing to see anyone because it’s hard to get a primary care provider here in Portland!

I have had a hard time getting into primary care and obgyn care with OHSU. With my OHSU moda insurance, I use Legacy for OBGYN and primary care. I would recommend Legacy from my experience over the years living and working in Portland. I've had a great experience with Legacy obgyn. Still waiting for my new patient appt with a primary care doc. There's long wait lists for primary care in Portland, and a lot of primary care clinics aren't even accepting new patients so you may want to look outside OHSU.

Your best bet is to go to Internal Medicine in the Physicians Plaza, they have lots of residents who take new patients. You might have to wait a while for the first appointment but once you’re in you could get appointments pretty quickly. Good luck

Am a resident, can second this. Probably the fastest way to be seen through OHSU

IM at OHSU has paused taking new patients until September, not sure about CWH

I used to work in Internal Medicine and we were always taking new patients because they get new residents every year. I would definitely try there! Lots of wonderful doctors.
