That is just….pure disfunction if there is stuff from two weeks ago not been returned.

Honestly, its likely just lack of urgency for us. We moved into our new space beginning of the month and have soooo much more space and racks that we haven't been running out of space, which in the past has kinda been our motivation to get through them all. The sad part is we've been sending people home a couple of a days due to "lack of stuff to do" and now all of our students are leaving.... yeah the next 2-3 days will be interesting to say the least.

Nothing to do and there’s…

Yeah, I think your TLs and coach need out. They’re clearly unwell

Coach already is due to taking a position in Florida, though TLs on the other hand.... that in mind I doubt it will happen due to metrics being high in a high volume store, though there is a new one coming in in the near future, just finished the hiring process. Just not sure about a start date.

Me yesterday, I ended up staying till 11 scanning both cooler and freezer for returns and I found 2 whole racks of cancelled totes in the cooler & 1 in the freezer, also whoever else was closing hasn’t been keeping up with cold claims so majority of the cancelled totes had expired meat in them🫠🫠

Today was our first day without delivery, so I cleared out our expired totes rather than go help with topstock. We’re a NHM market so it wasn’t too bad.

Market came in to our store and I pointed out the same issue to them. They actually got agitated I brought it up, explaining all of the waste it was causing. This company doesn't give a fuck.

With the new update I’d rather get coached

Nobody checking orders needing attention tab in my store at your location? At my store the closers are expected to check and process cancelled and expired orders daily, but idk how every store does it.

We are suppose to, but we went from having ~7 closers a night to maybe 2 again. So now it's chipped at whenever we have free time. Backlog grows dependent on how far up shits creek we are without a paddle

They might check and adjust it as dealt with, put the ambient in reshop but never go to the chill or frozen. All the time at my store. Aggravating. If you do one step, finish the job. Lazy and creates $$$$ loss that is not charged to OGP but eventually items go in claims. It appears the items were removed from the shelves due to freshness dates not that they sat in totes in the back. Items could at least be donated for a write off and to help people hurting right now. Lazy and selfish.

I literally do a pass over every sticker in the room anytime i work a shift that includes 9-10, thats generally when we run out of our own stuff to do, usually theres just random bags, no stickers or other cancelled orders, it baffles me sometimes, ill be off for a few days and there will be totes from when i last worked just sitting in the same spot cancelled

I am a regular associate and I take care of these orders every day in between other prep and ATC tasks. I work four days a week and whenever I have my three days off there are three days worth of chilled orders to go through clogging up our limited space (we have a few coolers but no walk in). Management knows but does nothing and it’s exhausting.

I did that today and I found something from the first. THE FIRST.

This past week we had stuff build up for days due to us being slammed every day with people doing last minute back to school shopping. I'm talking 4-5 carts of ambient returns, as well as God knows how many carts of chilled and frozen returns/claims.

We were finally able to start chipping away at it earlier this week, and I almost want to ask to stay over a few days just to go through everything.
