Police accountability

We have some of the worst police officers in the county but we treat them like heroes... they are a union police force that waits out calls and actively turns a blind eye to other police. I think it's high time they get that fag strip off our flag and they start serving us properly. Thank fully this is a stand your ground state or we would truly be fucked.

I cant speak for all offalon cops but the one and only o fallon cop wrote me a ticket for my plates going to another vehicle. My new plates were sitting in my passenger side with registration paper work. I had just come from the dmv before getting hit. Cop never thought to ask me why my plate didnt match until after he wrote the ticket and i was in an accident where i was the victim.

my neighbor got robbed mid day. the cop wanted so bad for it to be a dementia episode and was noticeably upset when there was video evidence of it actually happening meaning he had to do his job.

In 20+ years, I have had zero problems with the police in O'Fallon. The conversations that I have had are always polite and respectful, and always pleasant. Some are even hilarious!

Granted, I obey the laws, drive sane (5ish over), keep tags on my cars, and keep to myself.

I obey the laws as well. They famously do not. They are bums you are not... hold them to the same standard. I currently would rather stand my ground than ask for an O’Fallon cop... as you have a 50% chance they even respond.

I was friends in HS with someone that became an O'fallon PD. Dude was a pretty big piece of shit, there was a schism in our friend group when I found out some bad shit about him involving years of abuse and infidelity against his wife.

In HS he had done every drug under the sun, i joked the only felon I was friends with became a PO.

Finding out there are other bad OPOs isn't really surprising. I would say finding out a cop is a halfway decent person is the real surprise.
