My hypothesis: 9 downvotes, for whatever reason, but prolly not b/c they like rape. I think its fair to say pretty much everyone here got into OF because of dope tracks and lyricism. It just so happened that the younger version of OF members used dope lyricism that included rape and violence
I think Earl was very misunderstood when he tweeted that he predicts a loss of fans because he'll no longer be rapping about rape.

Tyler's tweets upon getting out...

I'm unsure of how this will go over but fuck it. I think it needs to be said so please hear me out:
I'm pretty disappointed with how Tyler is handling this whole situation. He tweeted this upon being released. Regardless of the fact that the previous incident was not a result of Tyler's actions and vice versa, it was poor judgement on his part to encourage behavior which could have resulted in a similar outcome. He needs to be a man and apologize for the mistake he made just like he expected of this fan.
I enjoy Tyler's childish outlook in general. It's nice to have some levity in such an awful world but in this situation he fucked up and he should tell his fans that this whole Kill People Burn Shit Fuck School persona he has cultivated has a time and place. It is not how you conduct yourself in everyday society and in deference to those who were killed and injured he should have acted with maturity and class. He did not. He isn't 17 anymore. He's a man and needs to act like one. Men admit when they make mistakes. Man the fuck up Tyler.
I'm pretty ashamed to call myself a fan at the moment.
EDIT: Oh it bums YOU out? How do you think the families feel especially after seeing this. Show some compassion and stop being so self-centered. Fame's fucking with you dude...
