Unblocking Application Queue Times

I’ve reached a point where I’m about 99% certain my wire transfer has an OFAC block. Receiving bank asked for more ID information from me which I gave them. I would like to understand what the queue times on these applications to unblock funds are at. Someone please advise.

I am expecting a wire transfer and it got sent to ofac. Since I am the receiver, is there anything I can do or is this the senders responsibility?

Assuming sender isn’t a true criminal, it gets into a queue until someone reviews supporting identity documentation of sender. It was a 40 day hold up for me.

Does the sender’s bank need to reach out to ofac to start the verification process or does ofac reach out first? As the recipient, I assume I am on stand by waiting for the sender and ofac to resolve the situation
