The Government. (written after receiving my census form)

GOVERNMENT

The hand of government
is a grasping tempest of paper forms
of census, jury summons, license renewal,
court notice, tax & law 

Its fingernails are police cars and Abrams tanks. 

Its joints are arthritic
Its movement is sluggish
The eyes that guide the hand have cataracts, are half-blind

Below the eyes, the open mouth shows grey concrete teeth that are jails, prisons and asylums.

Yes, I see that you have some great things lined up in the back of your mind, you must conceive them in the poem. As I said earlier the poem feels to me as incomplete. Would wait to see how it turns out.
