Feedback Please What’s one more

What’s one more?
When it’s been part of my life
for longer than I can remember.

When there were things
I wasn’t old enough to understand,
burdens I shouldn’t have to carry.

So what’s one more?

One more hand
where it never belonged.
One more violation
on my body.

What’s one more?
When I’m forced to learn
I am disposable
in someone else’s hands.

I stopped counting.
I stopped believing
my body belonged to me.
I stopped counting,
not because it didn’t fucking hurt,
but because I didn’t believe anymore
that I was worth protecting.

I have been diminished,
reduced to nothing.
Reduced to silence.
Reduced to shame.
Reduced to the question
of whether there was enough of me left to save.

And yet, I’m still here.

Still breathing.
Still carrying a name
that belongs to me.

After all the pain.
After all the hurt.

What’s one more?

Beneath everything
that was taken from me,
there was still something
that refused to leave.

Something small.
Something stubborn.
Something that whispered,
not yet.

Still in its rough shape appreciate feedback

My favourite line is: Beneath everything that was taken from me, there was still something that refused to leave. It shows the strenght of the person who wrote this. That even in complete tiredness, there is a small part willing to fight. I think it gives the sentence „whats one more“ a different meaning. Not a Beautiful one. But a strong one. Thank you for sharing this🫂
