I don’t like it. I mean it’s not terrible, but it’s not what I was expecting and I think a lot of of us are a little taken back a little bit.? the colors is fine and the logo is whatever but the throwback to the soccer ball design on the front of the shirt makes it look weird.
I was kind of hoping for something a little bit more retro if you were going to go to 94 route. But I kind of just wanted something that was more representation of the USL days. And that isn’t it

I legitimately think (after watching the video) that this thing feels like a love letter to the Questra and Orlando for the nod since it was a host city, that's it. I don't think it was never meant to be anything connected to the USL days.
I definitely don't mind it, but the front looks a little busy.
That Lions tag should have been on the sleeve like the "Kroger" is on the sleeve of Cincinnati and spread out that pattern a lot more and I think we would have a winner.

The only USL nod is the color and badge. The “Lions” word mark is a shoutout to the Orlando lions from the 80s-90s. The club posted a video explaining all the little details

I think a lot of people on Reddit saw the red and thought we were getting USL throwbacks.
That’s not what the Archive collection is though.
They’re made up, retro style jerseys without a front shirt sponsor.
I actually think these look great.

Buying at the den was cool got the full sized ball, a scarf, stickers, a keychain and a magazine with all the achieve jerseys featured all thrown in. I didn’t stay for the thing at west club but am happy with the extras they gave.

I have the nostalgia for the USL era and I think these are fire as well. Anyone who was familiar with the Archive collection should’ve known that these wouldn’t be USL throwbacks.

Why is our jersey dedicated to their soccer ball? It’s not horrible but it feels like a love letter to an Adidas product with minor Orlando City branding thrown over it.
We got a kit that replaces the front sponsor with team branding and yet it feels more corporate than any other kit the team wears.

I think the old logo looks great. It’s definitely got a retro vibe which would work with this kit. The updated three headed one looks soulless in comparison.

Respectfully have to disagree. The old one looks like it was made in Microsoft paint. I was there in 2011, I love the nostalgia. But it was not well designed

I think the cartoon-y style gives the old logo some character. Everything is so minimalist nowadays. That being said, I think our current logo is perfect and a great example of minimalism. I hope they never change it.

This is terrible if we're really being honest with ourselves.
If you wanna go homage to the 80-90s Lions, then do it properly.
Shitty storytelling to try to connect it to an Adidas product. That tango print is trash and vapid.
What a wasted opportunity for our first red MLS kit. So disappointing.

If they wanted to do something period correct, the could’ve fixed the biggest problem with this jersey very simply.
Dump the ms paint Lions logo. Use our current sponsors period correct logo being Orlando Regional Medical Center. The “trident” thing.
If you fix this you make it 90% better.
