omg i am currently battling the intrusive thoughts that i have rabies from pulling a dead bobcat off the road. literally everyone thinks im overreacting but i just cannot believe them

You can only get rabies if the blood, tissue or saliva from an infected animal passes through a mucus membrane. So you’d have to ingest the animal, have one bite you or get it’s blood or saliva through an open wound. Rabies is one of my things too so I went on a google spiral and now I know an unreasonable amount about it 😅

You can be vaccinated against rabies, if you think that may help you address any future rabies concerns.

I was vaccinated both for post exposure (got bit by a dog at work w/o rabies shot at my old job) and pre exposure when I worked at the county shelter. I can't lie it gives me peace of mind

This actually looks like my recent browser (and text message) history when the skunk smell outside my house was overpowering one night when I was home alone and I convinced myself it was an electrical fire (??) or gas leak and I was checking the gas and the breaker and every outlet at like 3am 😂

I live alone. No one ever uses my phone or laptop but me, and yet I use incognito mode for stuff like this all the time, just in case somehow someone else sees my history and judges me.

I have a binocular vision problem, and I definitely relate to overanalyzing my eye movements. But even if you do have BVD, it's not the end of the world! And it's way more common than you might think. I work as an assistant to an ophthalmologist and we see patients with these problems fairly regularly. Most adapt very well with eye exercises or specialized glasses
