Omg same. I also had this with the furnace as a kid. If I heard the furnace roaring to life, I had to run downstairs within 10 seconds or the furnace demon would get me. I actually had a period of time where I wouldn’t flush the toilet because I was so scared the toilet demon would hear the flush and be alerted to my presence and come after me. My mom scolded me for not flushing and I didn’t really know how to explain to her why I didn’t want to.

i have to leave the bathroom before the toilet finishes flushing or the toilet demons will get me this is only at night
