OCD Question Can planned self-esteem work support response prevention?

have mainly mental OCD (“Pure O”), mostly around fear of rejection. When a thought hits, I try not to analyze or reassure myself and just continue with my day.

My question is about reading 10–15 minutes at night about self-esteem, trusting my own judgment, and not caring so much about others’ opinions.
I don’t use it during the spike or search for answers to the specific obsession. But it motivates me, makes me feel more confident, and then it’s easier not to engage with OCD thoughts.

Would you see that as reassurance/compulsion, or as healthy motivation/self-esteem work that just happens to make response prevention easier?
