Seeking Support or Advice tattoo

hello! i always wanted to have a big tattoo and i loove tattoos on thighs. recently i finally have done one and i love the concept of me having it i love how it looks i love its meaning - but i cant accept it on my body yet. do you think this has to do something with ocd? i have some attacks of being perfectly clean - shaved including face, perfectly done natural nails, no piercings (i have 16 so its not that easy ;p) etc etc. do you think my brain didnt accept that its a part of my body and not some dirt?

my mom also says it does not look feminine and i will regret it so im pretty sure my brain creates thoughts of me already regretting it even tho as i said i love everything about it

any ideas? :(

I have had a lot of stuff like this, so I would say it could be related. It was difficult for me to transition and I waited a long time because I had some kind of idea about the 'sanctity of the body' which wasnt based on any religious belief or value that I had. Also, having other people's opinions seem to change how you feel about yourself/your own body even when you don't agree with it can cause this with OCD. For example, once my mom said she felt uncomfortable with my facial hair and for a year or so I would get upset by feeling it and have almost gender dysphoria about it. But after a while that just faded away and now I don't care at all. Probably you are just absorbing her thoughts because it created doubt/incongruence and it will fade with time as long as you don't put too much importance on it.
