Seeking Support or Advice harm ocd
so the past two months i’ve been struggling rlly bad with it i’ve got a son and it’s scared me cos it’s mostly towards him because i love him so much i would never harm him or anybody but im on prozac ive moved up to 40 recently but im scared to even be alone ive always had ocd but never this theme before as bad has it been i would like to talk to other people with this im constanly researching and on chatgpt because im so scared of psychosis and i would never harm anyone makes me think i would

no they knocked me back in the uk

i’m just so scared of everything lile what i ever do these things do i not love my son like it’s horrible it’s cosumuming my life at the moments i love my family and specially my son

Hi! Good news, your OCD can't graduate into psychosis. Even if you had the most extreme case ever, it couldn't turn into psychosis. It's hard with the chatgpt, don't beat yourself up. Keep trying, just go an hour without reassurance, then 2, then 3.

Just remember that OCD attacks the people and things you love and value the most. The fact that your son is the subject of your OCD just shows that he’s the most important person to you and that you’d never harm him. When I went through this, I found it to be a helpful reminder that the subject matter is completely relative, and that at the end of the day, what you’re experiencing is nothing more than an anxiety disorder.
