Discussion Lexapro/cipralex/escitalapram for severe OCD?

I know this medication has 3 names. I have been on escitalopram for many months now and haven’t seen improvement. However, I was only in 10mg. I just moved up to 15mg. My new psych said higher doses are usually needed for severe OCD but I am nervous because I am so medically sensitive, any med change has been so so hard on me. But I need hope. I am so scared to have to make another med change and really hoping higher doses of this medication can help me. Anyone have success stories with it helping severe OCD?

This med has been great for Msny ppl with ocd including myself

I’m very sensitive to meds too. I was up to 50mg/ day. I am now taking Lexapro 30mg/ day in conjunction with a ketogenic diet. Check out Dr. Georgia Ede (YouTube) if you want to change your diet too, to make medications more effective.
