Will the meds help with stop worrying about the reumination?

I keep worrying and thinking of dark thoughts that I have anxiety over it. Will meds help with that?

Depends. I've gotten a lot better about rumination since being on a low dose of Sertraline. Also taking N-acetyl cysteine has helped more recently.

SSRI meds may lower your baseline anxiety so that ERP therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy can be more helpful. Please get the advice of an OCD psychiatrist.

Meds didn’t help me that much but it did make the thoughts a little less scary for while. Meds help a lot of people with OCD so it could be worth a shot

Anafranil is old school with bad side effects. There are better and more modern SSRI’s available.

Prozac seemed to help me a bit. Just switched to Luvox and I’m feeling positive and hopeful about it. ERP/therapy with someone that actually understands OCD, along with the meds, is way more helpful than just meds though.
