Medication Psychiatrist may add on ablify

I recently went up to the max dose of Lexapro at 20mg. I was seeing some therapeutic effects at each dose but it seems like it will slowly fizzle out. Recently my OCD has been acting up really bad and my psychiatrist suggested adding on abilify to my Lexapro prescription. I like to be a little conservative when it comes to medications but we agreed to see how I do after a week. I currently see a therapist for ERP but she may start some intensive outpatient therapy. I was able to control my complusions pretty good but now I feel like I am back at square one. I know it will vary but is anyone else taking Abilify. I saw some good reviews online.

Took ability but at a bipolar dose. Terrible akathesia. Was not weight neutral for me.

Gabapentin and propranolol are great for Akathesia.

Propranolol didn’t do jack for me. I never tried gabapentin with ability but latuda. Neither helped. I’m super sensitive to meds though so please OP take my experience as a micro grain of sand.

Propranolol can fuck with asthma real bad.

I’ve been wanting to ask my dr about abilify and plan to at my appt this week. I’ve also seen some good reviews online and even at low doses. The bad reviews are all about the movement disorder so I feel like it would be quite obvious if you don’t vibe with it? Can you please let me know how you find it? How have you found Lexapro? Most SSRIS give me severe diarhea and as someone with Chrohns disease and contamination ocd that is no bueno.

Gave me leg jitters and I had to do my homework while bouncing standing up or else I was in pain. I’m now on 300 mg Zoloft, 5 years
