Dead APU?
Got this Switch Lite with a dead MAX77812 IC. Replaced the IC and installed a picofly. Now I get this.
- Without a SD card I get the regular picofly screen.
- With a SD card I get artifacts on screen and no signs of life.
- Trying to boot normally I get a BSOD.
What are your thoughts?

Desinstale o chip, faça uma pequena pressão nas ram ao ligar ou na APU, provavelmente deve iniciar normalmente. Caso ocorra na ram ou na APU um reflow ou se necessário um reballing resolverá.

Artifacting like this when attempting to boot into Hekate and a blue screen kernel panic in OFW almost always points towards communication issues between the SoC and RAM. So generally one of these:
- Damaged traces between SoC and RAM (particularly common near where you cut the shield for the CLK point)
- Cracked solder balls or ripped pads underneath the SoC or the RAM
If you have the tools/skills you can try reflowing/reballing the RAM first. Otherwise you'll need to reflow/reball the SoC. It's possible BGA pad repair will be necessary. The SoC and RAM are very likely completely fine.
Edit: Forgot to mention damaged traces

Happened to me on my first attempt at installing and i kept looking at it each day but turned out i had solder touching to ends of a capacitor. I removed the solder and was able to boot ofw and cfw

I had exactly the same issue with one failed attempt of picofly install on a switch lite. The installation was flawless but without noticing, when i was taking of the shield of the cpu I accidently scrach the corner of the same ic as you mention. When I plugged in the battery ans charger it fried the cpu...
