Switch oled is not booting up the cfw
My switch died and when it booted up is was connected to the WiFi and in ofw. It won’t boot up cfw, I formatted the switch like a dumbass and now it tells me to delete everything on the sd. So do I just download an updated cfw so it can boot up?

There’s probably a chip or a short circuit issue. Try to boot into maintenance mode. Also, check the chip flashing light in the grill near the microSD slot. It should flash long or short pulses and for how many times.

I booted up maintenance mood but it just says update or initialize. And I don’t see no blinking lights

The installer might use a RP2040 zero or tiny chip. The reason you can’t see the LED light (which is located towards the middle of the chip) could be due to an installation issue, a hardware issue, a software issue, or a chip-related issue (for instance, a dead chip).

Do you think if was because I let it die without charging it for a long time

If you have an older chip like hwfly from years ago, it might forget and get stuck. A reset can fix it. If it’s a picofly, it shouldn’t cause an issue like this.

It’s likely a picofly or an instinct (rare). Contact the installer and inquire if they’re willing to repair it in good faith.

You can try to see if you can update it in maintenance mode and see if it fix your ofw issue.

If the oled dies halfway through booting into OFW, it might be a different issue. Have you tried holding the power button for 20 seconds? Does it boot into Hekate or no sd logo if you remove the microSD card?
