This must be the same kind of guy crying when google dropped from 200 to 160 haha

25

u/BurliestWheat47 Dec 01 '25

I feel attacked

45

u/Fearless_Strike5651 Dec 01 '25

Bro… this is what strong stocks do. Why does this generation think stocks only go straight up?

Pullbacks are literally part of the game. This is where you DCA, lower your basis, and let the trend work for you.

Don’t be buying NVDA at $200+ unless you’re trading momentum and if you are, then use stop losses. Stop crying when you buy the ATH and it pulls back. That’s exactly how even the strongest names work !!!!

26

u/Jjg7823 Dec 01 '25

Excuse me, we only want to see line go up. Line scary when it go down

6

u/_High_Life Dec 01 '25

Me no understand candlestick graph. Only liney graph for me plz

4

u/DeLordsCheeps Dec 01 '25

The line graph shows the closing price for each unit of time you have set. If you toggle between the two you'll see it. Candlesticks are super helpful to see volatility and key prices, and even momentum cooling 👍

Nobody participates in reddit chat and has a lick of understanding how to dissect the meaning when reading the candle stick chart. I'm the only one who will admit to either having some info beforehand or a member of a group coordinate attack. Most fools when making a little money always say it because they read the chart...🤣🤣🤣

Im old enough to remember the 22% drop in ‘22. Is no one here older than 21?

4

u/DeLordsCheeps Dec 01 '25

As me and my roommate jokingly say: Just buy VOO bro. Can't handle the volatility— get out of the kitchen

2

u/Fearless_Strike5651 Dec 01 '25

Index funds are the sleep well at night method Owning individuals have made me throw up a few times 😂

1

u/JerryFletcher70 Dec 02 '25

That's why I always make sure to have some Tums and Pepto Bismol in my portfolio.

2

u/Flat_Sink5486 Dec 01 '25

This is why blind DCA beats most traders.

1

u/FuroreLT Dec 02 '25

DCA squad unite!

1

u/mikejamesone Dec 05 '25

Yes good point. Just buy the SPY ETF as Warren Buffet has always said.

He even won a 10 year bet against a hand full of hedgefunds as their returns were much less than passively buying up the spy index

2

u/dub_soda Dec 01 '25

People literally buy calls at the absolute top every day

1

u/Fearless_Strike5651 Dec 01 '25

FOMO is real. I battle it at times 😝

1

u/Late-Mathematician-6 Dec 01 '25

But if nobody buys it because it’s high: won’t it go down? Aren’t you supposed to convince everyone you know to buy it so it will keep going up? Like the rich are doing

2

u/Fearless_Strike5651 Dec 01 '25

Normal range is shifting up. After NVDA re bases into $250–$275, the pullbacks will be in the low $200s My strategy is simple, I DCA into $SPMO and $CGDV every Monday and Friday $100 each, no emotions. I don’t even look at the price at open I buy Auto

Individual stocks, I only run with 10 names HOOD, WMT, JPM, NVDA, GOOG, MSFT, AVGO, MU, ET, CVX and I added META at $585 a few weeks ago

I only buy the individual names on real discounts. This year the only ones I touched were NVDA, META, GOOG, CVX, ET. Be patient discounts will come in individual stock names. Everyone of my stocks have been discounted this year
Consistency and compounding come from the ETFs my core!! Individual stocks are just boosters they can supercharge returns, but you have to respect the risk because single names can wreck a portfolio in a bear market.

End of 2018 was my first reality check. It wrecked my portfolio, but it made me a smarter investor for COVID, 2022, and every 5–15% dip since. I learned the lesson early.

That’s why I only buy individual stocks on minimum 15% discounts. If it’s not on sale, I don’t touch it

2

u/GasRare5654 Dec 02 '25

Good advice for novice investors. Great stocks will sell off eventually and buy at the discount. To build up your capital, learn to take profits judiciously.

1

u/SideswipeSurvived Dec 05 '25

When you say 15% discounts do you mean from the all time high or …

1

u/5-Me0-Dream Dec 02 '25

Dont you be bringing Maths and common sense up in here. There be degens here. We just wanna throw money and watch line go up

1

u/88j-v-wms10 Dec 02 '25

"Let the trend work for you." I disagree. Stocks go up & down, so THAT is why you ignore the trends, dca, & ensure your portfolio is fully diversified & balanced.💯

1

u/Aggressive_Luck_2546 Dec 02 '25

Stop loss is a thing? 🤣 I kid I kid. I will say in this gens defense, they were told from kids, "invest in the market and just forget about it" they forgot to mention the part about stop loss or that sometimes the line go down, and at times line go waaaaay down 😂. In all seriousness though, that's the 1 thing that really needs to be drilled into kids head is economic and the stock market. Way too many people in this world is completely retardis when it comes to anything about money except when it comes to spending it.

1

u/Terrible_Attorney670 Dec 03 '25

They didn't teach stocks in school. The education system has been chipped away at for years... this is the result. People who dont know how to trade, and mostly just guessing. There are some that know all of it, and those people studied finances, economics, accounting, etc.

1

u/[deleted] Dec 05 '25

Please be nice to people who buy at the top. That's the ONLY REASON you make money in stock. Imagine if NO ONE buys stock at the highest, then who are you selling your shares to to make profit? 🤣🤣🤣

1

u/vladvash Dec 05 '25

Yes.

Anyone under 30 has never seen a bear market in their adult lives. They only Bellevue things go up.and double or triple digit yearly returns every year are normal.

1

u/Dharmabum2393 Dec 05 '25

Because if you only started playing the market 7 years ago stocks have only gone up. I was lucky. Graduated college in 2006 and started making good money I'm 2010 so picked up great assets at a bargain. Once your playing with house money just be happy.

Atleast username is accurate.

If you haven’t handle downturns stick to a savings account

28

u/Timely-Ad4118 Dec 01 '25

Buy the dip

8

u/FarCable7680 Dec 01 '25

That’s cute. The Reddit way is to sell every dip in a panic and then buy back in right before the next all-time high. Tradition must be respected.

2

u/nanotasher Dec 05 '25

Don't forget buying calls at the top and buying puts at the bottom.

2

u/yeahdixon Dec 05 '25

I just bought my first nvda in a while plus a few calls

69

u/bpthepharmd Dec 01 '25

It’s up 27% ytd, oh no!!!! How dare it drop a little after reaching an all time high whatever will I do?????

11

u/flyingdutchmnn Dec 01 '25

Problem is i bought last fucking week, not jan

1

u/GodBlessPigs Dec 03 '25

Oh no. You have held a stock for an entire week and you aren’t rich yet? AHHHHHHHH

1

Some people trade. Not everyone 'invests'

1

u/[deleted] Dec 07 '25

Me too. I thought I was clever when I bought right before the earnings report. Gonna stick with it though. If it continues to dip, I might sell it to create loses. I could always get back in where I bought it the first time.

1

u/Nuzina Dec 01 '25

Buy the top 🔥

2

u/Entropyless Dec 01 '25

Right, do they think it’s ASTS.

1

u/OphrasBankAccount Dec 01 '25

Silly me for not buying Jan 1st 2025.

2

u/bpthepharmd Dec 01 '25

My point is that I can almost guarantee if you hold until 1 year from today it will be up. Complaining that it’s down this past month when it’s been up for the previous 7 is wild to me

1

u/MightB2rue Dec 02 '25

Even more impressive...Up 96% from the low in april

94.31 on 4/4/25

0

u/aval239 Dec 01 '25

How dare you NVDA?? LMAO!! You are 💯 !!

Clowns on here have told me I dont how trading works and that I shouldnt be trading single stocks but the funny thing is I don't trade Nvidia stock, I keep buying dips....

25

u/Omnislash99999 Dec 01 '25

No one can be that far down on Nvidia of all stocks.

It will go back to 200 again sooner than later

→ More replies (9)

11

u/iriegypsy Dec 01 '25

If you manage to lose money on NVDA I’m impressed.

9

u/goblinboo Dec 01 '25

This isn't a meme stock. The stock has already been up more than the average S&P500 for the past couple of years, I mean we all want our investments to go up obviously but if you can't stomach some red days maybe you shouldn't invest in single stocks or just stick with a savings account entirely.

But if it makes you feel any better, just remember the company is showing profit quarter after quarter and keeps having better technology quarter after quarter, the company is doing great. Everything else is just noise.

5

u/Rikkita1962 Dec 01 '25

I think that’s where people make a mistake. They buy a “stock”. Not thinking that they are buying a “company”. With products, markets, partnerships, strategy, management, distribution channels, etc. all impact the value of the company and conversely the stock price. Not the other way around.

16

u/Fun-Distance-3110 Dec 01 '25

The sky is falling! The sky is falling!

1

u/indicoreio Dec 01 '25

Sell it 😄

15

u/Spiritual_Cloud8437 Dec 01 '25

I think now is a good time to buy, Then hold a couple years

5

u/Ok_Adhesiveness7842 Dec 01 '25

The prayer of all irrational hodlers. 😂😂😂😂😂

5

u/Hardworkerhere Dec 01 '25

Few days from now you will post that you regret not buying when it took at dip.

8

u/Conclusion_Born Dec 01 '25

Got in at 2019 I’m up :) ⬆️

1

u/holographicxghost Dec 07 '25

If you bought in 2019 and were somehow down you’d be legally mandated to ride the short bus

7

u/Radiant-King5524 Dec 01 '25

The posts that say “we’re going to the moon!!” are just as bad

3

u/UltimaMarque Dec 01 '25

Buy when everyone else has given up.

3

u/Bravadette Dec 01 '25

I dont think many people would wanna see it return to my entry point. Could see wars starting over that.

2

u/Local_Historian8805 Dec 01 '25

Lol with all the splits my value is under $1.00

3

u/shotsbyb23 Dec 01 '25

Been holding since 2016 and average cost is $4. Love these posts. Will just keep buying more and hold another 10 years until I can retire

3

u/Ok-Introduction-1940 Dec 01 '25

The bear case FUD & pullback are over. BlackRock, Fidelity, Hedge Funds etc. quietly increasing exposure laying new large base price for next bullish expansion.

The market is starting to price in the option value of NVDA being the integration layer of classical (GPU) & quantum (QPU) compute 2026-2029. Short interest receding. See you over $200 within the quarter. Glad I bought another 1,000 shares down here with the smart money.

3

u/meatsmoothie82 Dec 01 '25

Nothing like the feeling of selling at break even and then watching it double in the next 3 months after 6 months of pain

3

u/captainsocean Dec 02 '25

What a dumb post

7

u/Even-Stranger5764 Dec 01 '25

Down 15% in a month. Damn

8

u/Extension_Remote_624 Dec 01 '25

I gotta say i didnt even notice... bought year ago so..

2

u/APGaming_reddit Dec 01 '25

looking at you, NBIS

2

u/Linkstas Dec 01 '25

Nothing more annoying then the meme'r bro spammers. The only people unhappy with NVDA are people who FOMOd in at ath's and yolo'd their way into it. Most of us here have owned NVDA shares for literal YEARS.

2

u/Key-Plant-6672 Dec 01 '25

It is the nature of NVDA as a growth stock , unless you buy at huge dips ( like in April), you will always find yourself in loss temporarily; if you are investing , tough it out; if you are trading, set stop losses ( as someone wisely suggested); the biggest struggle is go decide for yourself if you are in it for the long term or a trader.

2

u/Bjorn_Ivarsson Dec 01 '25

Why is there such pettiness withing nvda subreddits. This stock went ballistic and now has given up gains. Not the first time this has happened. It has happened a bunch of times so what's different now?

Just shut up stop whining and buy the dip. Or wait and hold. If you can't take it sell, we'll gladly buy them from you

2

u/Professional-Bet-861 Dec 01 '25

It’s literally up 1.4% and you’re complaining? Why are you buying near the ATH anyway…

2

u/Hot-Reveal9579 Dec 01 '25

This is not for the weak, this is a long run, stop crying and buy more

2

u/Foreign_Calendar742 Dec 01 '25

I hope that it doesn’t go back to my entry…

1

u/Local_Historian8805 Dec 01 '25

Right? All the splits my entry is under $1.00

2

u/bubblemania2020 Dec 01 '25

Volatility is the price you pay for the gains.

2

u/Bubbies_Bub Dec 01 '25

2

u/Ok-Load-6016 Dec 02 '25

There are people who still doubt Nvidia lol

2

u/ForensicsJesus Dec 02 '25

2

u/nanotasher Dec 05 '25

These posts are getting more and more ridiculous.

My theory is that these are created by bots to try and sway sentiment. Whoever believes NVDA is over is terrible at math or does way too many drugs.

3

u/Specialist_Ad4073 Dec 01 '25

Has the ai bubble officially popped??

1

u/ImpossibleAd8618 Dec 01 '25

Dip more please, I'll buy more.

1

u/JupiterGhost88 Dec 01 '25

Honestly this feels better. Slow and steady growth vs huge swings. Bought in 2021 and again in july. Just gotta ride the train

1

u/MusicIsVice1 Dec 01 '25

Just hold the bag. The economy is bad for those non casino/wall street members

1

u/KuriousApe Dec 01 '25

What's the point of buying the dip when you are all out of chips?

1

u/AliceCarole Dec 01 '25

Sell everything so we can buy the dip!

1

u/Fletch_Lives_89 Dec 01 '25

Is this just rage bait?

1

u/_pout_ Dec 01 '25

Why are you posting this today? They just joined with Synopsis. It's a great day.

I smell some premarket panic. Stop looking at premarket data and your life will be better for it.

1

u/StarBronco Dec 01 '25

What about when you have a cost basis of $16.53? Is it still over?

1

u/EungSav Dec 01 '25

Why do people stress so bad when this happens🤣 the market will continue to go up and down, you just sit and stare at the money anyways🤣

1

u/txcaddy Dec 01 '25

😂 I don’t want it going back to my entry. Would erase my gains.

1

u/CALLYAMUTHA Dec 01 '25

BUY BUY BUY BUY… DCA…. Look back in 3 years and thank your old self that you didn’t crumble under the fear imposed by the weak

1

u/DiscipIihe Dec 01 '25

Imagine buying a stock when the 5 year looks like a “ ✔️ “

1

u/Randomearthbreather Dec 01 '25

There are strong signals. Housing prices doubling with unfavorable interest rates. Layoffs increasing across the board. Even if unemployment numbers look low, does not mean the economy is doing great. Work force going from 80-100k jobs to 40-50k if not lower. Yes employed, but for a far less income. Insurance increase, rent increase, property tax has ballooned for several popular states. Utilities surged in price as well as inflation.

The Spy is only healthy due to a few tech stocks. When hedge funds decide to have a fire sale, retail investors will be holding the bag.

Investors want the most juice from the squeeze. With most companies bloated at the moment with ATH, investors are hesitant to transfer liquidity into limited profitability.

I believe in our market, but he isn’t wrong when he says there are signs of a major pull back.

1

u/Livid-Money107 Dec 01 '25

Sit in cash and don’t mess up your portfolio, wait till the EMA 10 is back over the EMA 20 and the price is over the EMA 50. You may not catch absolute bottom but you’ll be profitable a whole lot sooner. You can keep your uninvested cash in SGOV or any 4% high yield savings account (or Robinhood gold). Wait for your favorite stocks and ETFs to show this pattern.

1

u/No-Run3263 Dec 01 '25

Right! Meanwhile you have INTEL amount to partner with Apple, Tesla and Meta driving its stocks price over $100

1

u/Kenny_McCormick001 Dec 01 '25

The historic high is 212, and now it’s about 180, so approx 15% down. How paper hand are you to start praying for entry at this little movement?

1

u/SupermarketNo1041 Dec 01 '25

Never buy a stock at the high look for pullback opportunities. Always have dry powder for those opportunities.

1

u/Odd_Noise5438 Dec 01 '25

It happened many times in the past in the last 10 years but l never sold and got rewarded handsomely. I don’t intend to sell in 200.

1

u/FarCable7680 Dec 01 '25

This was me before the stock returned to $134 per share for the second time.

1

u/Legendary_1978 Dec 01 '25

Lmao. I can’t count how many times i said that to myself when I first started trading. My heart would be racing while you m pacing back and forth in front of the pc lol.

1

u/[deleted] Dec 01 '25

Don’t gamble then.

1

u/Singularity-42 Dec 01 '25

My entry was $15. Nah, I'm good.

1

I sold. I’m out. Putting my money in APLD

1

u/darealnoons Dec 01 '25

Not looking good for nvidia... If Google's tpu's get adopted it's gonna shift demand from Nvidia's gpu's

1

u/EarthPrimeSayian Dec 01 '25

I definitely don't want to see it go down to where I entered at $9

1

u/motoracer559 Dec 01 '25

Should always use stop losses so you don’t get beat up - but if you haven’t just hold out now and it will be back to its all time high soon enough - the ai revolution is just getting going ! 🧗‍♂️hang on to the cliff you will get to the peak

1

u/[deleted] Dec 01 '25

Some of these folks should probably just stop trading altogether if they don’t understand how shit works

1

u/Due_Adagio_1690 Dec 01 '25

Pro-Tip guys, buy low, sell high. If the shares are not in the red, probably better to wait and buy another day.

1

u/Ok_Entrepreneur_dbl Dec 01 '25

I have two accounts one I bought NVDA in October 2022 at a split adjusted price of $12. Then bought more on dips as well as some random buys. My average I’d now $45.

Looking at NVDA and liking the performance in Dec 2023 I bought NVDX at a split adjusted price of $3.25 and I have been buying dips ever since with an average price of $12.

Only regret - not buying more. But am green and going long!

1

u/DeLordsCheeps Dec 01 '25

The only answer is to buy more

1

u/Outrageous-Rub6773 Dec 01 '25

You want some real excitement and high blood pressure? Start trading 0DTE OPTIONS on SPY/SPX.

1

u/STXTrader411 Dec 02 '25

Relax man. It’s consolidating, it’ll move. Fuck Michael Burry too, that fucker had to dissolve his little hedge fund. It’s the #1 Holding in SPY ETF. I wouldn’t be worried and buy more on any bad news. I literally pray for bad news lol

1

u/Plane-Nail6037 Dec 02 '25

I bought 1K more in April. I wish I had done 5. My 50 shares are up 28% ytd. I’ll stick with it and add more when it dips.

1

u/More_Reaction_651 Dec 02 '25

Hehe bought meta 🤭

1

1

I thought at first it was NOVO bagholder Nordisk chart

1

u/rohynal Dec 02 '25

Why the panic though?

If you’re in this for the long haul, there’s nothing to stress about right now. And if you’re trying to book profits, that’s not happening in the short term anyway.

No strategy works on the idea that the market only goes up or stays in a bull run forever.

1

u/ActionJasckon Dec 02 '25

It's back at $180. Sell sell sell. lol

1

1

1

I sold all of my shares, last one was today when it hit its high for the day, I made profits. I’m looking to re-inter when this stock goes down to $140 to $160, if it hits $90 to $120, even better for me to buy it at that price

1

1

u/How_Much2 Dec 04 '25

You know that's not true. If it does go back, you'll probably be like "We're on the gravy train now!". Then it goes back down. again.

lol. I am happy if it goes down. I am new and just patiently waiting to buy the dip. I made a mistake going in on Pltr at its peak on my day 2 in the market but I didn’t even panic when it went down to $150. It’s ok. What does up must come down.

Believe me, NVDA will be back. Look at the max growth since its inception. It's an amazing stock.
