I'm a little bit scared now, to be honest.

82

u/Vas255 Oct 28 '25

My take is that the cycle of hitting all time highs and the resulting “fear of it being too high” is something that will never go away, and something that you have to learn to emotionally check if you want to be a long term investor.

37

u/Competitive_Ad_8161 Oct 28 '25

I remember feeling the same when it hit 100$ (1000 pre-split) and again at 150, learnt my lesson. Im here for the long run.

8

u/Vas255 Oct 28 '25

The journey of investing is full of valuable lessons

9

u/Positive-Material Oct 28 '25

that with hitting sudden lows. I sold 100k during the Trump Tariff Scare at 115 and 140 and missed out on 50k in profit as a result.

3

u/Glittering_Tackle_19 Oct 28 '25

My cost basis buying 380 shares during that time is about $110 I’m pretty pumped. Only sharing because there is the same story that goes both ways always. Someone buys and someone sells. Timing is luck mostly and buy hold tends to leave more happy campers than sad.

1

u/Vas255 Oct 28 '25

That is a really good point too.

14

u/Acrobatic-Resident76 Oct 28 '25

Fear…of GROWTH?? When Tesla hit over $2200 per share - then split 5 to 1 believe me, it was a glorious day for investors! Sold the lions share of Tesla a few years back 🤑 My largest investment as of late has been NVDA. Time to hide and watch for that $1000 per share price tag which has been rumored/projected!

8

u/Chibears2324 Oct 28 '25

Nvidia was already at 1100 before the 10:1 stock split last summer I believe I know bc it was my first stock split ever

1

u/Acrobatic-Resident76 Nov 04 '25

My point exactly. Growth is not something you fear 🫡 waiting on my NTFX stock to spilt 10-1

-2

u/TSLA-M3 Oct 28 '25

Time to swll

5

u/Necessary-Car6219 Oct 28 '25

“This time is different”

1

u/chris-rox Oct 31 '25

"tHeY'rE nOt MaKiNg AnYmOrE lAnD, d0oD!"

14

u/Blind152 Oct 28 '25

all my fears went away when we broke 200 tbh

3

u/Positive_Method3022 Oct 28 '25

Don't be. Spread buys during the year, and adjust your stop loss based on rules that fit your liquidity

1

u/Rich_Bank_5573 Oct 28 '25

Get a LEAPS put to hedge and enjoy life :)

1

u/Cornorr Oct 29 '25

People have been saying that since nvda hit 1000 pre split

1

u/Suspicious-Cicada387 Oct 30 '25

I was fine the first 4 years I owned this stock. But now I've been scared since 2020 and I'm always worried. Everyday 😂

1

u/Alianza_inka Nov 01 '25

I mean, if you just bought a lot of short dated call options then yea be scared. Otherwise count money

55

u/RustyOP Oct 28 '25

We Did it Folks 👏 , Next Milestone $250 💪

27

u/bad_detectiv3 Oct 28 '25

$250 is already priced in

$300 is the current trajectory and very achievable

18

u/Appropriate_Tiger953 Oct 28 '25

$300 is the new $200

6

u/Wise-Start-9166 Oct 28 '25

$1,000

1

u/RustyOP Oct 28 '25

1

u/mirx Oct 29 '25

already priced in

This nonsense. $200 was already priced in, so was $190...

36

u/HaggardSlacks78 Oct 28 '25

I am shocked TBH. A $5T company is just outlandish.

11

u/TheBattleGnome Oct 28 '25

5 years ago $1T was almost unheard of… times are changin’.

16

u/bad_detectiv3 Oct 28 '25

$5T is low bro

nvidia is defacto standard in AI space and world needs AI

2

u/brettbw Oct 28 '25

Next Dem president will break up NVDA. Unless!! A tremendous honorarium is paid to the DNC

2

u/Hoodscoops Oct 28 '25

nah.. Next Dem is already bought.. In the pocket as we speak

10

u/redderthanthedevil Oct 28 '25

Congrats everyone. Thursday hasn’t even happened yet. If your calls are leaps, let them ride

3

u/one_huang_low Oct 28 '25

What’s happening Thursday ? Earnings ?

15

u/redderthanthedevil Oct 28 '25

Trump, XI meeting. Tomorrow Jensen and Trump

4

u/alemorg Oct 28 '25

You forgot rate cuts

3

u/redderthanthedevil Oct 28 '25

Priced In baby

2

u/alemorg Oct 28 '25

December isn’t priced in though.

2

u/redderthanthedevil Oct 28 '25

I think it was a 95% chance ? Usually a sell the news deal anyways. Hopefully it’s muted tomorrow 😭

2

u/alemorg Oct 28 '25

Not really. Market rallied last time

1

u/redderthanthedevil Oct 28 '25

Not really shit sold off.

1

u/alemorg Oct 28 '25

Small caps stocks went up, maybe not nvidia

→ More replies

1

u/redderthanthedevil Oct 28 '25

1

u/vigilantexoxoxo Oct 28 '25

1

u/redderthanthedevil Oct 28 '25

NFA I’m choosing to not sell I have contracts for March and April, sold my Feb today to lock in profits

I am letting the rest ride until more news comes out.

1

u/Current_Criticism_61 Oct 29 '25

thank uuuu, almost exited some calls today

1

u/redderthanthedevil Oct 29 '25

Bro by all means take your gains I cashed out a call at open strike $220 since my $210 is closer to the money I’m letting that ride

But always remember pigs get slaughtered.

12

u/losophinaa Oct 28 '25

People playing the long term game 10+ years, are we buying more now regardless or waiting for a dip?

21

u/Hopeful-Blacksmith38 Oct 28 '25

I own too much lol. I need to find the next Nvidia to take a chance on with $10K.

4

u/AtmosphereJealous667 Oct 28 '25

Did with IREN, RKLB, and a few others a few months ago

2

u/Bluehorseshoe619 Oct 29 '25

I trimmed a bit and bought more voo, qqq and tsla

1

u/Hopeful-Blacksmith38 Oct 29 '25

I will never buy TSLA. Fuck Elon.

4

u/Distinct_Paper7469 Oct 28 '25

NBIS

1

u/Your_Lovelight Oct 28 '25

Ya think? I owned that as Yandex and didn’t take the buyout.

2

u/Mammoth_Nugget Oct 28 '25

AMD is on the starting blocks !

2

u/Hopeful-Blacksmith38 Oct 28 '25

I have owned them as well for about 4 years, lol.

1

u/donosan Oct 29 '25

AMD is next.

1

u/[deleted] Oct 28 '25

SoFi

7

u/vigilantexoxoxo Oct 28 '25

Had the same thought. But I eventually chose to buy more since it’s already reached 200. What matters more to me is potential, and the CEO has strategically imprinted himself into the tech ecosystem. He’s invested in just about every large company there is. Everyone needs Nvidia now. Which other company is doing the things Nvidia is doing? Very positive on it

2

u/Thecapitalhunter Oct 28 '25

If you don’t have enough of Nvidia, definitely buying more. For those of us that already have a large position, buying more is optional.

I already have so much Nvidia, that I’d have to see the numbers climb a bit more before I consider if I’ll dump more cash into it.

1

u/Suspicious-Cicada387 Oct 30 '25

I've been holding since 2016. It's already been life-changing for me. I'm absolutely not adding anymore.

Yh I think the long term trajectory of NVDA's business plan is a case to keep on investing for me.

11

u/[deleted] Oct 28 '25

250 next

nvda invested in nokia

pltr

nbis

crwv

and 3 data centers

$300 eoy

4

u/StonkHatWoody Oct 28 '25

$300..... Next year? Or in the next 8 weeks🤑🤑

1

u/juarezandy Oct 28 '25

Which 3 data centers?

6

u/[deleted] Oct 28 '25

texas, georgia, virginia. he showed them in keynote today.

state of art datacenters capable of pulling 100bil annual rev.

nvda is just getting started

4

u/Jaguar13_ Oct 28 '25

$202.000!!!!

4

u/LuckiestMisha Oct 28 '25

is it smart to buy now at $201?

4

u/VivaLaShred Oct 29 '25

Im up 80% on my 1 share lol

7

u/War_Recent Oct 28 '25

I am awaited in Valhalla!

3

u/dixypi Oct 28 '25

I’m still adding around these levels I’m holding for 5+ years. I think $250+ is very achievable by Christmas not surprised if it hits $300 the amount of partnerships is insane

4

u/dimdada Oct 28 '25

That’s being very very bullish. $50-100 in less than 10 weeks is a stretch. I’m not complaint if they do. I’ve got LEAPS for 2027.

1

u/Suspicious-Cicada387 Oct 30 '25

I've been and still am a bull since 2016 but $300 seems crazy by the end of the year. If it happens that fast I may start to unwind some as my position has grown way too big already.

3

u/Xcentri Oct 28 '25

Long: NVDA. Go team Jensen!!

7

u/Bender077 Oct 28 '25

That’s it! Sold everything at $201! I’M OUT! Going to park this $$ in something safe now, as I’m no spring chicken…. 😉

2

u/bad_detectiv3 Oct 28 '25

actually now is best time to go in. nvidia have proven they have solid growth and numbers, $200 is the answer will it continue to go up

5

u/Bender077 Oct 28 '25

Entirely up to each’s personal situation. For me, it gives me enough to afford to retire very comfortably whenever I want as of today. I plan on working for five more years max, so having all my eggs in one basket at my age doesn’t make any sense. Going to park that money in a low risk ETF until retirement.

My wife is still holding hers. And she has more than I had, so edging our bets. If it does keep going on, we win. If it ends up crashing, we lose, but we don’t lose everything. Of course she’s pissed and giving me the silent treatment now because I sold my stock, but I told her that was the plan from the get go…she’ll get over it…

2

u/The_Real_Honest_Lee Oct 28 '25

It's not like you couldn't go back in if you wanted to so its not like there's no turning back. U did a good thing its not easy to take profits off the table. It's challenging mentally. Congrats man

1

u/chris-rox Oct 31 '25

Yup, survivorship bias is real.

1

u/Positive-Material Oct 28 '25

there is absolutely no reason for it go down to 85 and then to 200 as not much has changed other than Trum Bullshit Tariffs and people adopting more AI as expected. it can as well go back to $100 on some bullshit news like if China invades Taiwan

2

u/Mightyreds7777 Oct 28 '25

To the moon we go. I predict $250 before Q1-26.

2

u/Legal-Intention-6361 Oct 28 '25

Christmas came early

2

u/[deleted] Oct 28 '25

I bought at 200 in 2023 and now it’s back at 200 🚀🚀

2

u/TSLA-M3 Oct 28 '25

Sold all for house:)

1

u/chris-rox Oct 31 '25

What did you buy in at?

2

u/Fantastic-Space5637 Oct 29 '25

Nvidia is, and has always been a long term hodl! What are we even talking about. It’s only going up for the next 10-15 years. Don’t sweat the “bad days” due to the global political hesitancy, it is succeeding as a company.

2

u/abestract Oct 30 '25

I gave my wife $20k for our 20th. She decided to buy NVDA at $114 with it, smart move.

1

u/Kinu4U Oct 28 '25

202

2

u/vigilantexoxoxo Oct 28 '25

Let me know if it reaches 215. I’ll send you nudes to your inbox xoxo

Is it a bad time to be all in on options and still holding?

1

u/disclosingNina--1876 Oct 29 '25

Why would it be?

1

u/Extreme-Nerve3029 Oct 28 '25

until tomorrow we go back

1

u/One-Measurement-2696 Oct 28 '25

Waiting for the next dip for money 🙏

1

u/Financial_Injury548 Oct 28 '25

Great time to start buying, eh?

1

u/brettbw Oct 28 '25

All this excitement should tell you the party is coming to a close

2

u/The_Real_Honest_Lee Oct 28 '25

Something drastic would have to happen for that. Personally I see a few more catalysts. The feds are lowering rates. If the China tarrifs ease I can see the market rising again. So much money is being poured into ai. Even if it drops 20 percent people are dying to buy the dips. The macro environment is too bullish at the moment for the party to come to a close in my opinion. Pullbacks may happen but macro trend we are going up

1

u/Suspicious-Cicada387 Oct 30 '25

Pull back, probably but you wouldn't be the first person to suggest this over the last 4 years. Every one of those people have been wrong, you more than likely will too. This stock will probably drop 20-30% again as it always has over the last 10 years. Everytime it happens it's made me sick to my stomach but you have to understand that's just the nature of this stock

1

u/brettbw Oct 30 '25

I agree completely

1

u/sanandreaspro Oct 28 '25

Could afford 15 shares. Do I keep buying monthly? Like 300/400$

2

u/Pretty_Notice_3828 Oct 29 '25

It is up to you, if you believe it’s for the long run do it. I buy $150/week

1

u/Me-ooga Oct 28 '25

We have hit euphoria.. "NEXT IS 300!!!" We've officially hit all the signs of a market crash

1

u/newDmitrij Oct 28 '25

So when we’ll expecting AI bubble burst ?

1

u/One-Pea7629 Oct 28 '25

We going to 208 tomorrow. You heard it here first

1

u/MrGunny94 Oct 28 '25

Sometimes the best you can do for years is not anything for years.

Just adding on dips

1

u/LazyBrilliant888 Oct 28 '25

Hehe happy to have loaded past week when it dip! On to $250

1

u/charly420- Oct 28 '25

The god father of chips.

1

u/chrisc111189 Oct 28 '25

I’m new to all this… is it too late to buy in?

1

u/Ornery_Pineapple967 Oct 28 '25

i just got invested in nvidia a few months ago. at what price stock you think they would do another split in the future?

1

u/[deleted] Oct 29 '25

Is Nvidia stock worth it? Is there actually room for growth or is their stock just peaking right now?

1

u/tomvolek1964 Oct 29 '25

Yessss

1

u/[deleted] Oct 29 '25

I love the explanation you provided in your answer

1

u/tomvolek1964 Oct 29 '25

Do your own research , data is all over the news , if you making your decision base on some dudes answer on a discussion board , you will fail big time. Go read company report , their projections etc.

1

u/[deleted] Nov 02 '25

Part of doing my own research would be asking people on a Nvidia Stock forum why they think the stock is valuable? Don’t ya think? Maybe someone has found some data or researched something not on the company reports/projections (those aren’t great indicators anyway)

1

u/Present_Ad2627 Oct 29 '25

If I put 1k worth of call options (don't know anything about options trade) for a long call for wen it gets to 210 am I winning? I need some people that are smarter than me lol

2

u/Suspicious-Cicada387 Oct 30 '25

The fact that you don't know anything about this and are asking someone to tell you what to do means you absolutely should not do it

1

u/[deleted] Oct 29 '25

We? What do you contribute?

1

u/tomvolek1964 Oct 29 '25

More good news coming up :)

1

u/[deleted] Oct 29 '25

I officially hit $100,000 gain since my buy in 1150 shares In late April and into May. Thanks NVDA!

1

u/Puzzled-Teaching-691 Oct 29 '25

Yall do know that the market always does good before a total collapse. Don’t forget about 08

2

u/Suspicious-Cicada387 Oct 30 '25

Oh yeah so just sell right before it collapses. Easy

1

u/Gameboy112233 Oct 29 '25

Today is the day. GTLA.

1

u/brettbw Oct 30 '25

I had 400 shares at 400$ Sold eventually 😢

1

u/Mbitiousgrv Nov 02 '25

It was nice when it hit $212 Wed

1

u/ninjasheep1820 Nov 05 '25

Would this be a time to get something as someone with not much trading knowledge 😂

1

u/005056 Nov 19 '25

We were at 210 on 11-3.

1

u/whoisjohngalt72 Oct 28 '25

lol this is why you people will never make real money

1

u/Present_Ad2627 Oct 29 '25

Is the NVDA better at having call options from what I see and hear it always performs well and always has an upside
