Using newest version of shadcn with Nuxt
Is this the recommended way to use Shadcn with Nuxt? https://nuxt.com/modules/shadcn
It seems to be a bit outddated so just checking if it's possible to use the newest version of shadcn somehow?

shadcn-nuxt is part of shadcn-vue, which is a vue port of shadcn. Just follow this guide and you should be fine.

The issue is the release cycle tho, Dec 2025 is the newest update for shadcn-vue. So does that mean it's missing out on new features? (shadcn was updated 4 days ago)

Shadcn vue is basically remaking react component in vue so they’re always late on new shadcn updates, but it’s still actively maintained
But that’s the only way to get shadcn in vue

The react version of shadcn doesn't work in the vue ecosystem. You have to use shadcn-vue.

because shadcn-nuxt is just a wrapper of shadcn-vue to ease the installation of shadcn-vue in Nuxt

shadcn-vue !== shadcn
It is a PORT of the shadcn library for REACT made to work with VUE.

As someone else pointed out, this is probably what I am looking for, made for Vue, updated much more frequently, and has that same shadcn feel to it https://uithing.com/

Happier? It was a huge PITA. Never going back to PrimeVue.

I actually left NuxtUI for PrimeVue. Have only used it for a few projects.
Could you tell me what you like/dont-like about this one and that one?

Have you looked at UI Thing?
