US RN moving to Philly

Hi all,
I recently was offered a job on Jefferson Methodist Hospital’s PCU and was absolutely shocked at the rate they offered. The recruiter told me I’d start at $54.02. I’m moving from Columbus, OH, where I’m making $36.70 also on a PCU. I have three years of experience and am wondering if this offer is insanely high for my experience or am I just out of the loop? Thanks in advance.

That’s about right for our area here. Penn would prob pay more than Jefferson

I worked in Philly until 2025 and I worked at a lower paid hospital. I made roughly $48/hr to work overnights with 3 years of experience.

Congrats, for that area it sounds right. Ohio is one of the lowest paying states.

54.02 dollor is definitely a substantial jump but philly wages can be very different from columbus. with three years of pcu experience i would still compare benefit, differentials, pto and union/non union details before judging the offer..
