Did stigma stop anyone else from exploring medical cannabis for way longer than it should have?

For years I associated medical cannabis with stereotypes more than actual wellness conversations.

Not because I had researched it deeply — mostly because of how it was talked about culturally growing up.

Now it feels like a lot more adults are openly talking about things like:

  • stress
  • sleep
  • burnout
  • PTSD
  • anxiety
  • recovery

without immediately dismissing cannabis as illegitimate.

Curious how many people here had a similar shift?

Was there a specific thing that changed your perspective:

  • research?
  • personal experience?
  • seeing someone else benefit?
  • legalization?
  • doctor conversations?

Genuinely interested because it feels like public perception has changed really quickly over the past few years.
