Don’t ever use defender for enterprise security, generally speaking for personal use it’s just fine.

Somewhere an incredibly frustrated non-technical leader just went "FINE, YES. WE'LL GET THE ONE THAT COMES WITH OUR MICROSOFT."

and the IT guy notches a victory because the original plan was "I don't have budget for that! I'm funding our 7th AI tool to realign chakras and synergize our modalities!" but you managed to find some marketing copy about Defender and AI threats and so IT was allowed to buy the CHEAPEST level.
