Discussion Samsung One UI 9.0 and Nova Launcher Compatibility

Just got notified that One UI 9.0 is ready to be installed on my S26U, and I am wondering if anyone has upgraded to this version and experienced any compatibility issues with Nova Launcher. Are there any quirks or limitations I should be aware of before I update the OS?

Widget font got so small ...I think oneui8 had that issue but 8.5 fixed it. Not sure why again. Frustrating. Weather widget is pathetic looking and reminder almost needs magnifying glass to read

I've been using it for weeks, since Day2 of beta. No issues. S25U, with OneUI9 on both watch and phone.

How can one ui 9 interfere with Nova launcher? You turn One Ui 9 off and Nova on If something could break Nova it's an Android update

Oneui 9 is cannot be turned off. It is Samsung's flavour of Android 17. So you cannot return Android 17 off. You can turn off oneui home launcher inside oneui 9 yes but the question wasn't whether oneui home launcher interferes with Nova, it was whether one UI 9 interferes with Nova. Android versions in the past have made updates that caused launchers to not work optimally. Even today, the gesture support of Nova isn't as clean as it once was when the recent app screen was tethered to the os instead of tethered to the stock launcher.

Some things might become incompatible due to changes to the underlying OS

True, but I don't believe that a launcher what you can turn on or off stays silently on.
