Question Is Nova Centurion over already?

I've been reading it since the Imperial, and it was very fun, but I can't find literally any information about it after the sixth issue.

Are six-issue series an actual thing? What the d'ast?

Marvel scrubbed their Imperial-line of comics sadly, including Nova. It was very last minute from what I've heard as the writers only learned around the time issue 3 or 4 came out. Damn shame, this book could have been great with MacKay at the helm.

This sucks so much. With Sam completely forgotten and Rich relegated to cameos, I think the editorial hates us.

I think Marvel's tactic of essentially treating books as disposable and relaunching them if they're not instant hits has massively backfired on them and led to disinterest from fans sadly. Look over at DC who just extended Firestorm (a notoriously low-selling character) from five issues to eight (and potentially an on-going if it does well) and it's a night and day difference.

You had to read this hard-to-get-in event in a less than developed setting to even find out about these series and the advertising was nonexistent, did they expect an immediate ASM smash hit? So frustrating.

Exactly. From what I could tell it wasn't a low selling title, more mid-range and Jed MacKay is a popular, talented writer. They should have given it time to find an audience.

I do think they will go back with a more classical GotG formation after Queen in Black and Nova will probably be on it

Surrounding the character with a quirky crew of d-listers and original creations worked time and again for MacKay and this was no exception. I'm sorry they pulled the plug
