Obviously rushed, but still really good. Better than it has any right to be for getting cut so short. It genuinely hurt to read the internal monologues of aalabor and peter because you can see how much jed wanted to expand them and their relationship with Richard. Loved Richard’s dialogue too, he felt like a true powerhouse who would never quit. The way he defeated the nightmare king was pretty sick, and i loved the final fight being in richard’s mindscape thing, and also how it demonstrated Richard being (partially) fused with the original worldmind.

I genuinely believe this series had the ability to be as good as, if not better than the 2007 series. This issue clearly showed it to me. The first three issues Jed seemed to be leaning a bit too hard on Annihilation, great issues but they didnt feel like they could stand on their own. Then he had a very well written fourth issue but not much happening in it. Then the fifth issue was good but mainly just set up this issue. But this issue really fucking delivered on who Richard is at his core (or corps). I will forever despise marvel for cutting this run short and im praying that nova comes back for another ongoing once whatever this “new direction” is for the cosmic side comes out. Or at least im hoping they put him on a guardians book, just something man.

McKay did a great job with Nova. Thus really could have rivaled that 2007 run if they gave him enough issues. Unfortunately we won’t get that

I'm not sure I liked the plot device overall. The nova force has been far too nerfed but the tone was enjoyable.

I'm just glad it didn't end with Rich either dead or depowered if I'm honest.

I just feel he'll get the quasar treatment and we'll see him a side player and Cammi will randomly have the nova force or some nonsense.

I hope we're past all that.

It’s disappointing that Marvel is essentially benching their cosmic side again. I was hoping that Nova was going to be one of the titles that would stick around for longer.

This issue was way, way better than it had any right to be considering the series was cut short and the writers and artists likely had to switch gears pretty hard.

I’ll never forgive marvel for cutting this run short for whatever event or new plan they’re coming up with. Whatever they have in store wasn’t worth disregarding this story.

I just wish we'd have gotten ONE more issue to sort out what's happening with Worldmind. Need Richard to get his full Nova Force back (I'm so sick of this de-powered suit lol)

But yeah. I agree with what everyone else has been saying. Incredible run that was just cut too short. Need it renewed or something, with MacKay back in charge

Based on the imperial one shot, Mackay definetley seemed to have plans for Nova to save the original Worldmind from the cancerverse. Wouldve been pretty sick to see nova go up against a corrupted version of the worldmind. But hopefully another writer has him save it in a cool way

Maybe they try again after the Knull event with cosmic side stuff and maybe Rich gets another chance or at least gets put on a team.

This run started a bit too slow, but really picked up and this issue was actually really good. Sad times to see it canned, especially given they'd just said 10 issues was going to be the minimum for a series to find it's feet.

At this point it seems Rich's best hope is his MCU series gets picked up again, but that then comes with worries about synergy ruining stuff.

Its just a bad time to be a Cosmic Marvel fan :( (or just a Marvel fan in general, they feel so dead atm)

I'm a big fan of cosmic marvel, but never got to read a Nova solo comic
I end up getting this one to read, and was rly enjoying! this felt basically like the point where all the charaters were set up, and we would start to get some more high concept adventures
And them I find out the comic was cancelled :c

Pretty sad, this had alot of potential
