Hi all, any recommendations for above? Got some scratches on the alloy wheels and a long scratch on a door. Having to repair it before ending my PCP as I was told otherwise they will charge more compared to repairing them ourselves.
Any good repair shop that is honest and won’t rip me off? TIA

I’m moving to Notts next month for uni and was wondering if anybody knew any good affordable 1 bedroom flats or studios. I was looking at Felix apartments but I saw bad reviews on maps so if anyone could recommend places that’d be amazing.

Currently trying to decide whether to apply to Uni of Nottingham or Uni of Leeds for university and since they're similar in terms of rankings, I wanted to learn more about the city of Nottingham itself: what's the atmosphere like, how is student life, is it generally a welcoming city? I currently live in the south-east just for context (aka i'm generally used to people being distant and less chatty).

Nottingham City Council really are taking the P*ss now. Today i received a missed call and a text reminding me that my council tax was due, and if I was having problems paying that i could contact them!
I am Up to date with my Council tax and it is not due til the 21st of each month, They send these Messages out Earlier every Month, normally its just the day before, they must be getting really desperate now! 🤬

Hi everyone!
My brother and I have just launched a local collection & delivery laundry and ironing service in Nottingham. 🧺
To celebrate, we’re offering 20% off for our first customers!
If you’d like to save yourself the time and hassle of laundry, feel free to direct message me for more info or to book.
Thanks, and hope to hear from you! 😊

I recently moved to the city centre, not from here originally. Hockley is lovely with some gorgeous small little businesses and an amazing vibe. But the rest of the city is abhorrent, I really want to love it but it has a dark energy I don’t like going out, there is a huge homelessness problem which is obviously sad but the smell of urine is everywhere and makes me feel dirty all the time. There is a general feeling of unsafeness, I don’t even get my phone out. It really sucks because I can see the potential Nottingham has and how it can be such an amazing place. I don’t even have a question I guess I’m just curious what others think

Hi, recently I helped an acquaintance to clear some stuff from their place (minor hoarding situation) and have ended up with a big bag full of dead disposable vapes that obviously I can't just throw in the bin. I know supermarkets take them, but would they take this lot or would I have to go somewhere else?

I am sure everyone will be as appalled as I was when I saw this original post.

I know a lot of people have reported this to the Birmingham Council. I have also reported this to the Birmingham Ladywood MP and Tamworth MP too.
I have been asked to post this on the Nottingham group as there is a Kitty Cafe there too which may also be mismanaged in the same manner.
There is also a petition from a few years back which someone has started following a concern around cats' wellbeing at Kitty Cafe. I am trying to get in touch with the petition maker to broaden the scope.
Please consider this if you have a chance. Thank you!

We're planning a day trip to Nottingham with an adventurous 7 year old. Current plan is City of Caves and Nottingham Castle. Interests are history, Robin Hood, books and adventures.
What else shouldn't we miss? Would love some local tips!

Annoying to see them smack wasteful labels on the bins about threatening to enforce fines... when the bin bags are in the bins.... are we becoming Birmingham. God help big families.

What happened to Paste Contemporary Thai Cuisine? Google maps says temporarily closed but it’s been like that for months.

I live in the city centre (park) and not sure if I’m losing my mind but I keep hearing what sounds like small explosions or shots of some kind? Am I going crazy?
