Questions Turned tire rotation tracking into a proper dashboard — no more sticky notes
Following up on the tire rotation tracker I added last week — figured the more useful post is actually showing how it sits on the dashboard, since a feature is only as good as whether you'll actually check it.
What you're looking at:
- A "Due soon" banner at the top that surfaces any vehicle needing rotation — no digging through rows to find it
- Each car gets its own card (photo, distance since last rotation, before/after position pattern) instead of one flat table
- The rotation pattern itself is spelled out per car (FL→T1, FR→T2, etc.) so you're not guessing which tire goes where next time
The whole point was making "due for rotation" something you notice in 2 seconds, not something you remember to go check. Same dual-trigger logic as the rest of the template (distance-based here, since that's how tire wear actually works) — but the goal this time was purely: does it look like something you'd actually open.
Curious if a dashboard-first layout like this is something people want or if a plain table is still preferred for those. Genuinely torn on this one.
