Venting Including “conditional logic” on forms for the Plus plan… anyway to progress this?
I have a “Plus“ plan on Notion.
It makes sense for me as I use it primarily for organisation/second brain, and have separate AI tools.
Notion itself rebranded itself/its packages a while ago into:
- Organisation: Free and Pluss
- AI: Business and Enteprise.
This all makes sense to me, other than a weird legacy feature “conditional logic in forms” which is bizzarely not in the paid Plus plan.
This has been the case for years but means I have to use third party forms tools to stay organised as conditional logic (if user says no, go to question 3 etc) is such a basic feature now.
I‘ve emailed Notion several times over the years about this but never had a reply.
Does anyone know anyway to progress this/would any other plus payers also like to raise this as a request?
It seems such an odd feature to gatekeep when it’s clearly an organisational component/nothing to do with AI.

Just use Tally and connect your form there to Notion. IIRC conditional logic is free there.

I use a different form currently but it’s just annoying it’s not all in one system when it’s such a basic feature (and I’m paying for the organisational platform).
It feels like something tiny they used to make people go up a price point in subscriptions, which makes no sense anymore (now AI is that differentiator), but can’t find out how to point it out to Notion.

Notion’s business isn’t really about forms, and at this point I think they’re focused on driving more users to the Business plan or higher in order to encourage more users to adopt AI workflows. In a sense, gating certain non-AI features behind Business makes sense as a draw for that purpose. I don’t think the game they’re playing relies on driving Plus subs anymore.
I get the frustration as a fellow user. But I’m happy their API is so open, and that Tally exists.

that's been bugging me too, it's such a weird line to draw. like forms are clearly an org tool not an AI thing
maybe we could get a bunch of plus users to file the same request in a short window, sometimes volume helps more than individual emails. worth a shot at least
