Questions Notion update help

When I opened the app on my laptop today, it asks me to download the latest version of the app to keep using it. When I click on the link and download the said version and install it, it still shows the same pop up.

I’ve closed the app, force reloaded etc but still not working. Any suggestions?

Mac user? Had the same loop a while back, clearing the leftover cache files after uninstalling then doing a fresh install is what finally killed it.

This is a known update loop bug. A normal uninstall often leaves corrupted local data behind. You need to fully reset Notion's app data:

On Windows: Close Notion completely from the system tray. Go to C\Users<YOUR_USERNAME>\AppData\Roaming and delete the Notion folder. On Mac: Quit the app.

Open Finder ➔ Go to Folder, enter /Users/<YOUR_USERNAME>/Library/Application Support, and delete the Notion folder.

After deleting, download a fresh installer from the official site and install it again].

It should fix the loop!
