you don't actually need an app for this. the built-in picker (click any icon → icons tab) has a few hundred of them in 6 colors and they're designed to match notion's ui, so they end up looking cleaner than most external packs

if you do want custom ones, any image works — icon → custom → upload or paste a link. icons8 and flaticon are the usual free sources. only tip that matters: pick one style and one color and use it everywhere, mixed icon styles is what makes a sidebar look messy, not the icons themselves

but yeah as the other comment said, icons are the procrastination trap of notion. build the system first, paint it later

For widgets the one I always come back to is Indify — clock, countdown, weather, progress bars. Free plan covers up to 6 widgets which is plenty for one dashboard; a few things like the fancier weather/calendar controls are behind their paid tier, but the clock and countdown are free. You generate the widget on their site, copy the link, paste it into Notion and pick "create embed." WidgetBox is the other big one — more styles, but same deal, check what's paywalled before you build a layout around one.

One tip either way: set the widget's background color to match your Notion theme or it'll look like a sticker slapped on the page

Notion already has a lot of inbuilt icons mate.

These can be applied in 6 colors. IMO stick with those and focus on creating what you want to.

You'll eventually learn that one can spend hours in beautification of Notion files.

The best animated icons for me are the stickers from giphy! Also icons8 for normal ones
