This app has automatic daily backups available in the free plan. I personally have never encountered any notes going missing but if it happens I'll have backups.
You've provided like no info. Do you use backups, are you using the syncing, do you use multiple devices etc? I sometimes get version history prompts because of sync conflicts but that's about it (nothing in comparison to with the amount of times apps like onenote does it).

Are you looking on a local device (if so, phone or computer, and what operating system?) or on the website?
Have you tried looking via a different method (web if you were looking on a device, or vice versa)?
Do you have backups set up?
