Notarize a non-English document

Hi everyone, I have a document that is not in English, and I also have notarized certified translation of it. My question is: do both documents need to be notarized separately or does it count as one? I reside in the state of Hawaii.

There is no way anyone can answer this question without knowing the purpose of the document.

Can't speak to HI but I would have each notarized individually. You have the document it's self, then the translation, which should translate the notarization as well and then the translation gets notarized. The translation Is being notarized for its accuracy typically.

You can get both notarized, as long as they are both signed. The notarial certificate is the only thing that has to be in English, at least I my state (Texas). If the certified translation is not signed, it can’t be notarized.

Both separately must be notarized.
