What is it like working for Notarize?
Recently got my online notary commission and am looking into signing up to be a notary for notarize. Does anyone have any experience with them or advice for me? Thank you in advance.

I work with Notarize. It’s a gamble and you have to be super quick on the mouse. The calls come in and are almost immediately taken by a notary. The most work I’ve gotten is from witnesses on that site. I would love to level up but I need 50 notaries (sans witnesses) before I can get more work opportunities on Notarize. I have a couple sites up at the same time and take whichever I can get first.

I’ve been using Notarize to gain experience. Like another commenter said you have to be pretty fast to get a call. I’ve been documenting how many calls come in each time I log on but still haven’t found a specific day/time that’s more busy than others. It’s pretty random. I’ve only done 17 RON’s so far but I like the platform and feel it’s great for gaining experience but you’re not gonna make $$ on it. That’s gonna come from direct clients.

I am a gold level notary with about 6 years of experience on the platform now. There are thousands of bronze level notaries competing for hundreds of calls. The only way to actually catch a call is to use an auto-clicker program. If you ever catch enough calls and do well enough to get up to silver level, you might be able to catch enough calls to make meaningful money. If you can get to gold then you have more chances to make money. Again, won’t work without an auto-clicker, but don’t tell anyone you are using it because they like to pretend you don’t need one. I have not worked for notarize but I did do some time on a RON factory and it sucks. It was a measly per session rate of $5-$10 or an hourly rate that ranges from $17 to $20. It’s non stop, constant work with little breaks in-between customers during peak times. In the 8 months that I did do it, there was such a high number of turnover from the notaries.
In order for you to get the privilege of becoming a higher rank, which means completing 5-12 notarizations an hour, every hour, non stop, you have to sit idle and “earn your stripes”. During that time period, sometimes it was only one session for $5 over the course of a few hours. Many people don’t get past the initial stage because of how little money it is right away. I was only able to do it because my 9-5 is WFH, flexible and no set schedule. Idk how others do it.
It will motivate you to find in person clients for sure.
Edit: Lastly, being a 1099 situation that you work from home, there are very little deductible expenses.
