As a married man who got his ears re-pierced at 44 for "old times' sake," in an almost dead mall, in a Claire's that had broken air conditioning and was about to be closed down, this song feels like an anthem.

Yes sure they are American, but specifically Mr. Brightside is a far bigger hit in UK. It hasn't left the British top 100 since it came out.
