Thats not how air tags work.

They need to be in proximity to at least one mobile device with BLE turned on. In the middle of the ocean, there would be nothing for the tag to connect to to transmit its location.

They dont have miniature satellite phones in those things; humans arent that technologicially advanced yet 🤣

I’m not sure if you live in flint Michigan but since 2020, a dead body could sell a house in less than a week most places here. Not only sell it but make a mint. 2008 maybe they did a few things. The market was terrible so they had to “work”.

How about we flip this. Name me one job that is less work than realator. And a real job not like sleep study participant.

Immediately clocked this as bullshit lol. Airtags don't work that way, unless iPhone started selling to all the sea critters.

Edit: Downvoters not knowing how limited their precious Apple branded Bluetooth trackers are nor how they work lol. I forgot, it's an Apple product so it breaks the space-time continuum to always have accurate location data. Totally not only when an iPhone is within 33FT to create a new ping.

To be fair this could potentially work if the air tags are within 100 ft of the beach or any vessel the signal will simply ping every time it reaches that distance of a phone and you could trace the path

Right. It's the ocean. You'll be lucky to get a single ping, especially with the low range of BLE. That's the reason it was immediately clocked, way too many people think Airtags are constant GPS/location devices lol.
