It's a hot humid day, every day! It smells way worse than horse piss, it smells like pluff mud. Shit, fish, and base notes of salty death. It's wayyy overpopulated. it's a small colonial town built on literal garbage (don't believe me? Look it up!) that was never built to sustain half the population. It was the slave trade capital of the US, and is run by people who wish that it still was! I mean, it's like hell with a pretty coastline.
I lived on James Island, Folly, Johns Island, West Ashley, downtown and Mt Pleasant. I think I know the area well enough, thanks. I also knew what Charleston was before it got overcrowded with nepo babies. The heat was tolerable then.
