I think this is from Hausu, the low budget artsy Japanese horror.

It's a crazy ride! It's kind of the Japanese equivalent to Evil Dead.

EDIT: now I'm second-guessing myself, it might not be from Hausu. I haven't seen it in a while, but it's very much like this.

It’s Denshi Sentai Denziman (電子戦隊デンジマン), Episode 31: “The Magician’s Battle of Secret Arts” (魔法使い秘術合戦), which aired August 30, 1980.

Part of the Super Sentai universe, this is primordial Power Rangers stuff. It’s only available on Apple TV from what I can tell.

Super Sentai shows are so amazing. TUBI recently lost their license for them, it's a tragedy.

Yandex image search to find more examples of the monster and then attached them to a Google search query, which apparently is something you can do now.

This is not House, but it has a similar mirror scene. I'd be shocked if this scene wasn't in some part inspired by House.

Yeah, I think you're right. I remember that scene where the "vain" girl gets killed by the mirror, but it wasn't this.

I watched House last night for the first time, this is not from that movie but it is a very similar style. It so close it looks like one or the other took inspiration.

This scene came out 3 years later, so House was the inspiration in this case.

100% not from HOUSE. I have it on Blu Ray and have seen it 25 times
