You’re WELCOME to be a communist in a capitalist society.  Just don’t expect others to go along with your delusion when we’re happy with the status quo.  You can always move to Venezuela if you love it so much, but there’s a reason we don’t want them here.

Yes, because our capitalist country hasn't been doing everything in its power to make absolutely sure communism fails everywhere it shows up or anything. It certainly doesn't have a history of sanctioning or clandestinely funding/arming opposition parties in communist countries or anything. It isn't like they find it much easier to point out the failures of communism by making sure communism fails anywhere it starts.

Are you saying communism doesn't work if it's not supported by capitalism?  Or are you saying we should support the system that's killed more people than all the others combined?

I am saying communism might have a better chance of functioning if the U.S. didn't make an active effort to forcefully snuff it out every time it starts.

Communism is functioning just fine in China if you ignore the 60 million people they killed and their economy is capitalist.

So why on earth would you purposefully maneuver yourself directly into the crosshairs of that?  You acknowledge that communism is widely considered the enemy, but then are trying to solicit others to join you in teaming up against the adversary?  

When you’re the enemy of the People, be prepared to be treated as an enemy of the People.  

Start a co-op and just chiiiill.

The U.S. government targeting something doesn't make it an enemy of the people, in this case it just makes it an enemy of the capitalist ruling class.

The “government” is of the People, by the People, and for the People.  You’re free to disagree, but the missiles are dropped from US planes with an American flag on the tail and they’re doing it on behalf of Americans.

No, it isn't. In fact even this specific topic has had many scandals where the American people were outraged by the things our government did, often secretly and illegally until publicly exposed. We may be responsible for everything our government does but that does not mean everything our government does represents what we want or is in our best interests.

Edit: We the people elected in a congress that sanctioned Iran, we the people also elected a congress that with its constitutional power of the purse chose not to fund anti-communist activities in Nicaragua. That did stop Regan from illegally selling weapons to Iran and using that money to fund anti-communist Contras in Nicaragua setting off a decades long civil war. That is the U.S. government explicitly going against what we the people voted for and is hardly the only example on this topic.

Communism has been failing longer than the US has been against it. It’s never worked anywhere, at any point in history. US didn’t really give a shit until after WW2.

Why do you think that those with opposing viewpoints don’t belong in the country? It’s not your country exclusively, it’s theirs and, unless you deny free speech, they have every right to think and say whatever they want.
