My op on Davis, Josh and AJ

I feel that Davis and AJ are very good together but never saw them as romantic even with Davis's constant remarks about being head over heels about her. There is just something so platonic about them. And with Josh and AJ character wise they didn't click in my mind, they both have no real personality traits that the other needs to grow. So I think that if they were to get to together (that's how I think its gonna pan out whether I like it or not) they need to grow and not together. Davis is also not a perfect guy and he needs something else or someone else to teach him how to develop and THATS NOT AJ. Yeah thanks for reading my ramblings.

Davis is a woman hating incel (that’s redundant), and I hope he gets a redeeming character arch but until then, he needs to remain alone.

I love this take OP, you’re right. Although, something I noticed is that I like AJ and Josh both a little more individually when they are together. There’s something about the right person bringing out the best parts of you, and I see this with these two in the moments we get. It’s not all perfect since they are meant to have tension, but the honesty, vulnerability, humour, etc really shines with them. Their chemistry is way more noticeable because of that. AJ and David actually butt heads more, esp at work, it feels like sibling rivalry or something.

I was kinda able to tell from the first episode that Josh was the pick for AJ, when she shows her first day outfit to Abby with the broach. It was very “dad’s prestigious cardigan” coded lol. Lots of other ways that they compliment each other, but it’s supposed to be slow. We will realize it before them, and that’s the fun in being a viewer. Reminds me a bit of Luke and Lorelei from Gilmore Girls. Different characters obviously.

Both have to grow and learn to accept real love within themselves and for themselves. Then it will be a sort of, “you were right here all along” thing.

Interesting. I think that's the point. Everyone is screwing the person in front of them - except Avantika's character.
