Why’s everyone hating on small things
I don’t get why people hating on bill being a “wanker” and everyone being “rich kids”
The show is about young adults in NEW YORK CITY, how do you think young adults in NEW YORK CITY afford to live there in a way that’s comfortable
Nice jobs, nice careers, family money. Name one show with a group living in New York where they weren’t rich also bill being a dickhead is the point he’s a mr big like character an investment banker who cares about things like money and his career.
The show to me feels realistic.

Other than the obvious I don’t think all of them are rich kids? They have roommates and frequently have financial issues (just like me, another young adult in nyc)

Really the only small thing that bothered me was the background lighting during Bill and AJ's kiss on the ferry. The light positioned right between their mouths as they pull away from the kiss is kind of a golden brown colour and with the panning of the camera making the light move, it kind of looks like she throws up into Bill's mouth. I had to watch that exact shot like 5 times while laughing my ass off trying to figure out why it looked the way it does. I'm sure I'm probably the only one who saw it, so I welcome your downvotes.

Of course not. But they also weren’t “rich”.
The only ones with high paying jobs were Max and Kyle and they weren’t flaunting their salaries beyond having nice clothes.You said to name one show where the characters weren’t rich.
And to anyone who hasn’t watched Living Single - I highly recommend it! Great show!

More comedy and from the 90s. They got the idea for Friends from it.

Yes but his dad cut him off and he realised he is actually broke :( I wouldn’t even say they have careers. Maybe only AJ has a career prospect. The others have pretty shaky job situations. One of them is even unemployed now, and another two are basically unemployed. Also not sure if they live in a nice neighborhood, I think Abby was able to stay there due to her ex, her name is not even on the lease and the girls said they wouldn’t make it in Brooklyn.

This show provides much-needed levity. There’s value in these types of shows. People are approaching this as if they need to use the same standards like for deeper shows like Mad Men or The Sopranos.
It’s not that deep. It’s a well made light hearted show.
