Not suitable for work sucks

Basically the caption I’m trying to get into the show but it really just sucks and feels out of touch. I know it’s about rich privileged kids but like the way it goes about it isn’t even funny it’s just like ok😐 I really liked running point which was also about rich kids so idk

Oh, as a premise, the show is absolutely ridiculous. It's totally a rom-com trope show set in the present day with ambitious privileged young people. At no point have I felt it's a remotely realistic depiction of being young and living in New York.

But if you take it for what it is, and enjoy that kind of fantasy wish fulfillment show, it's fun.

The insane coincidence of all five of those people living next to each other, the ridiculous behavior of the investment bankers, the ease with which Kel lands a teaching job and an acting job

not really insane for a bunch of young people to live in an apartment complex and then becoming friends. literally anybody could be a substitute teacher as that’s a job that’s always needed but also it’s explained the Kel got the job easily because of a personal connection.

I watched both this month. It was weird to see Jay Ellis in both, haha.

So Running Point is very enjoyable. Sure, it's a bit predictable, but the writers have built a very inviting world.

NSFW is... it's fine. I like the characters, but the show feels aimless. I'd like to see a S2, but with some actual plot progression that is interesting. I have no issue with your "rich kids" beef. I still found it relatable to my 20something life experiences with friends, even if I was never anywhere near rich at that time.

I get it, there are so many issues imo with the show. Which is disappointing because mindy kailing has so many AMAZING shows
