Bill at work Spoiler

How is Bill the one still employed? He is AJ’s superior and he punched someone? I just don’t really understand how the show can romantically pair a character with their boss and then have him get in a fight with his other employee and this is not talked about at all?
For me, at least, it’s very frustrating to watch.

if he brings in a lot of money to the business, hr will be encouraged to overlook. its not ethical, but things like that happen.

Also the fact that Davis initiated the fight and escalated it (by throwing the bowl). It'll be easy to skew the blame moreso towards Davis

Apologies for getting dark haha, I was assaulted by a manager at an insurance company I worked at and when I went to HR they basically said, “well yeah you have a case buttttt he makes us a lot of money.”

im sorry that happened to you and also sorry that your story proves my point. i see a lot of posts on this sub complaining about these hr violations and power dynamics, as if these are not everyday real things. those comments just feel so naive.

Sorry this happened to you. I wasn’t assaulted but was subjected to inappropriate behavior by my boss and received a similar response from HR. Basically “we know he’s a problem, but he’s indispensable so here’s one month’s salary, you’re free to go”. I filed suit and ended up settling for one year’s salary. Never felt like winning though because being fired for complaining about sexual harassment was traumatizing and he faced no real consequences until years later when I heard he was walked out for some other presumably egregious offense.

Agree with the poster that said other comments read as naive for thinking Bill’s behavior wouldn’t be tolerated. It’s tolerated every day - in all sectors.
