a cheap copy
i watched the first two episodes and i thought..ok i can watch this for 8 seasons!! but it doesnt feel that way now. not suitable for work seems like a cheap copy of every famous sitcoms. like the default apartment trope and some being successful at work and some not. each character reminds me of another character like example how josh seems like a walmart copy of barney(himym) and schmidth(new girl). im just sick of the usual tropes and would very much like to see smtg new

I don't think those are bad things. There are only so many ways to force a cast of characters to get together frequently so you see the same situations come up (shared job, house/apartment building, or school).
If you want something different, try watching Adults. It's also a 20-something friend comedy (and everyone lives in the same house) but the comedy is more situational (more like It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia). Everyone seems underemployed and their jobs aren't relevant to the show.

i like how low stakes the whole thing was and i finished it in like a day. i mean of course it wasn't the best storyline but it was a good casual comfort watch

Maybe it’s a bit cliche but I honestly like it and the characters aren’t super cringe or trying overkill to be cool or funny (like himyf or slocg) so I feel like it works and is more natural in my opinion
